THE GIRL BEHINDÂ
SHE VOYAGER
Who is She Voyager?
As you already know I am a Lithuanian girl named Ruta. What you might not know is that I have a Ukrainian background and I grew up in Iceland. What a mix right?
I was born in Lithuania in a city called Kaunas. When I was 9 years old together with my parents, I moved to an island in the middle of nowhere called Iceland. A land of fire and ice. I am grateful to have had an opportunity to grow up in Iceland. It has been a huge part of shaping me into who I am today.

In 2013 I decided to make a change and moved to Norway and have been living there ever since. My Norwegian journey started in the town called Stavanger, next I moved to a place called Lillehammer and lived there for a year. Then I moved to Oslo, which is my base now.

I love to travel, explore new places, destinations, and cultures. I love to get to know new people, especially when I travel. I enjoy meeting local people and experience places and cultures from a local perspective.

So far, I have traveled to 38 countries and lived in 3 of them. My goal is to visit all the countries in the world (even though it's quite a positive goal). Traveling has opened my mind a lot in addition to my international background. I started finding more positivity and beauty everywhere I go.
I am a social person and I love getting to know people with different backgrounds. Being open-minded has allowed me to easily connect with people on a deeper level.

One of the things that makes me incredibly happy to see others happy and seeing other people grow. I love being able to help others without asking for anything in return. I have always felt the strong urge to help others and do something meaningful. That led me to become a volunteer and work with families in need. I strongly believe that when you do good, it will return to you.

I'm not the person that would normally follow the mainstream, and normally find my own ways whether in life.

That’s me in a nutshell
